hibiscus, rosehip & rose cordial kit
A delicious deep red botanical cocktail, mocktail or cordial mix perfect for a fairy
garden party.
To Make: Add full contents of kit to a large pot then top with 1L water and bring
to the boil. Once the temperature reaches boiling the pigment of hibiscus is
activated you can then add another 1L of water and 800 g of sugar, honey or a
mixture of both. Bring back to the boil and reduce to a low simmer for 15 to 20
minutes. Pop the lid on and leave to infuse for four hours or up to overnight.
Fine strain then if you like a stronger rose flavour add 2 tablespoons of
Rosewater to the cold cordial. Bottle into sterilised jars then store in the fridge
for up to 8 weeks. Serve with extra fresh lemon juice to taste, edible flowers and
a frozen raspberry if you like!
To Use:
– Mix 1:5 with cold still or sparkling water
– Add to cocktails, mocktails,
prosecco or iced tea
– Stir through desserts or drizzle over cakes and pancakes
– make into jelly or gummy lollies!
- make into a warm tonic tea to take to bed
