Sunlight Serum ~ Tallow + Vitamin C Glow Moisturising Oil
This tallow-based serum, enriched with age-supporting botanicals and a very stable form of Fat soluble vitamin C, is a totally new style of product for Aotearoa. It came about after hearing a common frustration from people who love tallow: that it can be hard to scoop from the jar, and the texture can be inconsistent. So I set out to create something different, a light, silky, nutrient-rich serum that glides on and absorbs beautifully, leaving a hydrated, radiant glow without the greasiness.
Full IngredientsList:Tallow (Bovine Suet) [Grass-Fed, New Zealand], Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Helianthus Annuus(Sunflower) Seed Oil & Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil & Sambucus Nigra (Elderflower) Extract, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Squalane (Olive), Hippophae Rhamnoides (Sea Buckthorn) Fruit Oil, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (Vitamin C), Ubiquinone (CoQ10), Tocopherol (Vitamin E) (+essenial oils of rose geranium, atlas cedar and sandalwood)
(Unscented version available and though not strong or offensive, a slight note of tallow may come through. I recommend the scented version if you are sensitive to the smell of tallow.)
How to use it: Use 1, maybe 2 pumps on freshly cleansed damp skin in the morning (may also be used at night). Press gently into your face and allow it to absorb. You can follow with your usual SPF or moisturiser, but most people find they don’t need any other products!
This serum is SO lovely.
Note about introducing Tallow. As when introducing any new skincare product the skin may take a little time to adjust, and some people find that it can bring some spots to the surface. This will almost always subside after a few weeks use. To get the most out of tallow skincare I recommend using oil to clean every couple of days in the evening (you can use the serum as a cleanser, or plain jojoba oil works great.) Additionally, a Konjac sponge used to very gently exfoliate the skin while cleansing can be wonderful.
